Get Involved: Volunteer! The Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes was founded by a group of families that made a commitment to their children's education and school. That long history of family commitment and involvement continues today. The generous contributions of our volunteers make us one of Michiana's strongest private school communities. Thousands of volunteer hours are committed to TMA every year. Whatever one's interest or expertise, each person can find a way to volunteer that will benefit the school and our students' experiences during their years at The Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes. Parents and grandparents help with classroom projects, volunteer in the office, bring cultural presentations to the students, and coach in the sports program. They provide leadership as Parent Network officers, Board of Trustee members, and school-committee chairpersons. TMA as we know it would not exist without the time and talent parents and other family members have so generously shared over the years. Together, TMA professionals and families have guided 40 years of students through school success and prepared them for leadership and community service. Parent involvement has always been an essential element for achieving the educational goals for our students.
